Check the result with Google’s Rich Results Test before publishing. The markup must match what visitors can see on the page.
How to use the Schema Markup Generator
- Choose the type of markup.
- Fill in the fields. Only include what is really on the page.
- Fix anything shown in the notes.
- Copy the code into your page and test it with Google’s Rich Results Test.
Tips for better results
- Markup must match what visitors can see. Do not add questions, prices or reviews that are not on the page.
- Use dates like 2026-10-25 and a full https:// address for images and pages.
- Test every page type once with the Rich Results Test before adding it everywhere.
Limitations you should know about
- Valid markup does not guarantee a rich result. Google decides, and many types have strict rules.
- Google now shows FAQ rich results only for a limited set of well-known government and health sites. The FAQ type is still valid and understood, but do not expect expanded results.
- The tool covers four common types and does not create review or rating markup. Do not invent ratings.
- It does not check whether your markup meets every requirement of every search engine.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I paste the code?
Anywhere in the HTML of the page, usually inside the head. Many CMS plugins have a field for custom code.
Is structured data a ranking factor?
Google says it helps understand a page and can make it eligible for rich results, but it is not a promise of better rankings.
Can I add star ratings?
Only if real reviews are visible on the page, and this tool does not generate them.
