How to use the Images to PDF

  1. Add your images. You can drop them, click to choose, or paste. The first one becomes page 1.
  2. Use the arrows to reorder pages, or remove any you do not want.
  3. Choose a page size (image size, A4 or Letter), orientation, margin and quality.
  4. Click “Create PDF”, then download the file. A page count and file size are shown.

Tips for better results

  • For forms that ask for a small PDF, choose “Small file” quality. Photos from a phone are large, and this setting reduces them to a sensible size for screens.
  • For printing, choose A4 or Letter with a small margin. “Image size” makes each page exactly as large as its picture, which suits screenshots and scans.
  • Rotate sideways photos first with the Crop and Rotate tool, or choose “Auto” orientation so landscape pictures use landscape pages.

Limitations you should know about

  • Each page holds one image. Putting several pictures on one page is not supported.
  • Images are saved inside the PDF as JPEG, so there is a small quality loss, and transparent areas become white. The PDF is not searchable: the tool does not read text in pictures (no OCR).
  • Up to 30 images of 25 MB each. Very large pictures are scaled down according to the quality you pick. Your browser’s memory is the practical limit on phones.
  • The tool makes new PDFs from images. It cannot merge, split, edit or password-protect existing PDF files.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is built in your browser. The images and the finished file never reach our server.

How do I make the PDF smaller?

Choose “Small file” quality. It limits the longest side of each picture to 1,200 pixels and uses a stronger JPEG setting. Removing unneeded pages and using a margin of zero also helps a little.

Can I combine several PDFs?

Not with this tool. It starts from images only. To merge PDFs you need a PDF merge tool.

Why is the text in my PDF not selectable?

Each page is a picture. Turning a picture of text into real text needs OCR (text recognition), which this tool does not do.
