Sizes
These are commonly recommended sizes. Platforms change them from time to time, so check the platform’s own guidance for anything critical.

How to use the Social Media Image Resizer
- Add your image.
- Tick the sizes you want. Each preview shows exactly what will be exported.
- Click the picture to choose the focus point, or switch to “Fit” to avoid cropping.
- Download individual files or all of them as a ZIP.
Tips for better results
- Keep faces, text and logos away from the edges; platforms crop and overlay buttons differently on mobile and desktop.
- For link previews, 1200 × 630 px (the Open Graph size) is the common safe choice across Facebook, LinkedIn and most chat apps.
- Start from an image at least as large as the biggest size you need to avoid blurry results.
Limitations you should know about
- The sizes are widely recommended dimensions that platforms change from time to time. Always check the platform’s own current guidance for anything critical.
- Output is PNG or JPG. Platforms may recompress uploads further.
- Each platform also applies its own safe areas and overlays that are not shown here.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between “Fill” and “Fit”?
“Fill” crops the image to cover the whole frame, centred on your focus point. “Fit” keeps the whole image visible and fills the leftover space with a colour.
What size should my Open Graph (link preview) image be?
1200 × 630 pixels (about 1.91:1) is the widely used standard, and it is included in the list.
Are the sizes up to date?
They reflect commonly recommended values, but platforms change them. Treat them as a starting point and verify when a campaign depends on exact dimensions.
